IT Support Technician

IT Support Technician

< Back to Job Search

The role

This isn’t your standard 1st/2nd line support role! The IT function of this tech service provider is small but growing and they’re not ashamed to admit this. You’ll find in many large and complex businesses that the IT function is very clearly defined, and often heavily outsourced, giving you minimal exposure to the whole IT landscape. Within this business no two days are the same, you will fulfil both BAU and project work, and you will positively contribute to the effectiveness of the IT function.

In this role, you will be undertaking 1st /2nd line support (approx. 65% / 35% split) providing both in person and remote support to a 150+ user base. Taking full ownership of user issues, troubleshooting the problems, and resolving the issues to achieve the best possible outcome. Examples of work can include anything from onboarding new users, through to end user security.

What we’re looking for

  • 2+ years recent commercial experience within an IT Engineer, Desktop, 1st / 2nd line support role.
  • Ability to provide support across the following tech stack: Windows, Active Directory, Microsoft365 Admin, and Endpoint Manager.
  • Cloud experience is a plus.

Work policy

Due to the in-person support work undertaken, this role requires someone to work full-time onsite. Subsequently, if you’re looking for remote or hybrid working, then this role will not be the right fit for you.

Recruitment process

The process will consist of 2 stages, comprising an initial video call, online tech test, and an in-person meeting with the hiring manager, and HR team.
