Our Client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Presale Engineer with a strong background in networking to join their team.

As a Technical Presale Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving their sales efforts by providing technical expertise and support during the pre-sales stage. You will collaborate closely with the client’s sales team and customers to understand their requirements, design optimal networking solutions, and demonstrate the value of their products and services.

Duties and responsibilities

This role will encompass a range of responsibilities including but not limited to:

• Act as a technical advisor to the sales team and potential customers, understanding their networking needs and requirements.
• Collaborate with sales representatives to design and deliver tailored networking solutions that address customer challenges and align with their business objectives.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept solutions to showcase the value of their products and services.
• Support response to technical inquiries and RFP/RFI documents with accurate and comprehensive information.
• Conduct product demonstrations and workshops, highlighting key features and benefits to potential clients.
• Assist in conducting network assessments and analysing customer environments to identify opportunities for improvement and upselling.
• Provide expertise during the solution design and proposal development process, ensuring that recommended solutions align with best practices and industry standards.
• Create and maintain documentation related to the evaluation and qualification process of new technologies, building a knowledge repository for the organisation’s reference.
• Support the current network infrastructure, troubleshoot complex network issues, and collaborate with the operations team to ensure optimal network performance.

Key skills and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
• Proven work experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar technical presale role in the networking domain.
• In-depth knowledge of various networking technologies such as routing, switching, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, etc.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, network security, and network design principles.
• Familiarity with data centre architectures and cloud networking concepts.
• Experience in designing and implementing complex networking solutions for enterprise clients.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or other networking-related certifications are a plus.
• Experience working with diverse networking vendors and technologies.
• Understanding of IoT (Internet of Things) and M2M (Machine-to-Machine) technologies, and their integration with networking solutions.
• Familiarity with scripting and automation tools for network provisioning and management.
